Podcasting Servers

Podcasting servers basically act as storage for your podcasting files. They are large packaging for your podcast files equipped with large hard drives as well as dual power supplies. Te podcasting server waits for the requests for your podcast files in an environment, which is climate-controlled. The server sends out the files once they are requested by a client. The server provides a web page to the client computing tool using a system, while the client computing tool doles out a podcast file into the server through the system. And then the server would input the data to the podcast file together with the other data from the web page. After which, the client computing tool would be running the agenda along with the added data advent from the server.

Servers that are in these private locales regularly furnish unlimited file storage and the number of storage which is used would depend on the quality of the server which is used by the customer. Fees are basically structured on the kind and number of servers employed. Additional storage services can also be offered to customers by these locales, some of which could even do quarterly and periodic maintenance. Normally, they try to make sure that their principles would not be down for more than 10 or 30 minutes each time. Also, they are very customer focused, and are able to work swiftly so that they would be available once duty calls.

Server

There are a lot of servers that offer links to varied Mp3 files, which allow full access to programming, while there are some, which allow just one viewer for the agenda "feed" as opposed to the actual program.

SoftLayer DAL05 Pod 2 Truck Day

SoftLayer DAL05 Pod 2 Truck Day Tube. Duration : 3.60 Mins.

www.softlayer.com ≡ http What is Truck Day? To a SoftLayer employee, it's the day after you finish building a new data center server room and cabling the server racks. People from our marketing team were invited to celebrate in the Truck Day festivities for Pod 2 in DAL05 (SR02.DAL05), and this was the perfect opportunity to show you how a new data center comes together. To create this video we had three different cameras going at the same time. To give you an idea of how fast all of this was done, each the time lapse cameras set up in the data center and in the inventory room captured images every five seconds. The frame rate = 20 per second & each second of time lapse video = 100 seconds of work. In a matter of just a few hours, we received inventoried, racked, cabled and started selling around 750 servers in a brand new data center pod. Music Credit: The background track in the video is "Your Coat" from SoftLayer's very own Chris Interrante. Keep an eye out for his soon-to-be released EP: OVERDRAFT. www.softlayer.com ≡ http

A secret Proxy Server for Internet Privacy

There are those who would say that the underground proxy server is among the best proxy servers there is to heighten your Internet security. From the phrase itself, it is a underground server, to be used only by one person or a handful of Internet users (that could be acting as one entity). This proxy server is carefully as the best kind of proxy server because of its advantages that will be enumerated below.

First off, we have the speed of the Internet connection. With only one person or a handful of users using the server, the user or users will be able to set the speed of the association to its maximum level. When compared to a public proxy, the underground proxy will not lose in terms of speed because the public proxy is often used by hundreds of Internet users at the same time.

Server

Other advantages of the proxy server include the base purpose of protecting our personal information and privacy whenever we go online. The proxy server will turn our Ip address every time we log in and hide our real Ip. This allows us to surf anonymously online. Thus we can surf the Internet without worrying about hacker threats and gait to shop on the online stores and visit your beloved websites. We can also assure ourselves that we can make safe transactions and manage our financial accounts online. We can also keep our Internet service supplier or Isp from tracking our web history and recording our tracks. The quest engines and other Internet users will also be kept from accessing our personal information.

Another benefit of the anonymous proxy server is how we can use other Ip when the current Ip we are using is blocked or banned from a website. This might be due to country restrictions or term violations of the Ip address. There are also cases wherein websites would block an Ip when the user has hit a limit that single website has set. underground forums, for example, might have set a limit on the amount of posts a guest can put on the forums. But with the proxy server we can turn our location fast, and be able to use an Ip that can get into the website with no trouble. Just one turn in Ip and you'll be able to unblock yourself from the sites.

There is also the issue of connecting to the Internet via a hotspot or Wi-Fi. With a public Internet association such as this, Internet users near you will be able to see you online surfing activities. With a underground proxy server, however, you are sure to be protected from them and create a gather tunnel for your own browsing activities.

We can also keep the cyber criminals and hackers near you from connecting to your network and try to dig into your personal information. Now we know how hazardous it can be for us when malicious hackers try to get into our ideas and steal our files. With a underground server, though, we can avoid this worrisome threat and eliminate the possibility of becoming a cyber crime victim. For our Internet privacy, using underground proxy is assuredly a big help.

Eve Online private Servers Don't Exist

Ccp Games title Eve Online is run on one of the largest clustered super computers on the planet, with 5,000 star systems and some million unique objects in play at any one time. Their server ideas is so robust that they schedule a one hour down time every day to run backups, and the ideas can cope up to 25,000 players (and sometimes more) without collapsing.

Because of the immense size of the database that players interact with, Eve Online doesn't lend itself to underground server play, and there are no Eve Online underground servers.

Server

In large part, the lack of Eve Online underground servers is a good for the widespread play of the game. Much of the request for retrial of playing Eve Online is the sheer number of players working simultaneously on the universe. Because Eve Online runs on a singular cluster, there's never a choice, like in World of Warcraft, or City of Heroes, to decide which server you're going to be on - based on the server your friends are on. You're whether on the Tranquility server (if you use the English language interface) or the Serenity server (if you're using the Chinese language interface), and there are normally ten thousand or more players on simultaneously to interact with. There is a third server run by Ccp, the test server, called Singularity, and they propose that everyone set up an account there to test things and provide input into the next amelioration of the game.

By variation for Worlds of Warcraft, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of underground servers out there, that will let anywhere from a hundred to maybe a thousand players log in simultaneously. For WoW, this is an opening to "grind in private"; if you tried doing that on Eve Online, you'd have a hard time hooking up with other players at all, due to the immense size of the database to explore.

In a real sense, underground servers for Mmos are a dangerous thing for the clubs that yield the games. Those games are costly to write, costly to maintain, wish paid staff to keep on top of things, and wish an ongoing amelioration allocation and marketing plan. The subscription model you pay is what keeps the game being developed; setting up "hacked" Mmo underground servers naturally hastens the day when the company publishing the Mmo can't reserve the operation any longer, and has to shut things down.

Fortunately for Ccp, an Eve Online underground server is a unmistakably difficult thing to set up for a home user; most citizen don't have home based clusters of high end computers, each with 16 gigs of Ram, to try and make it happen.

Computer Server - Why They Are Used

Are you new to the domain of computer and don't have good idea about computer server? Wondering why are they used and what is their importance in computing domain? Well, if your reply is yes, this report is worth reading. A server is plainly a computer where all data and data is stored and it delivers this info to other computers that are connected to it by a network. This network should be whether straight through cables or wirelessly straight through a router. For any type of Pc connected issues you can consult a computer heal company.

A server performs many tasks like centralized data supervision and file sharing as well as sharing resources such as fax machines and printers, etc. Typically, in any organization, computer servers are among the most prominent infrastructure. It serves all the computers or terminals that are connected to it. Based on the use of the computer server, tasks differ. A server stores applications and databases that are required by the computers connected to it. A server also offers computer security features as it uses a firewall and protects all the computers that are connected to it.

Server

One thing should be noted that the operating ideas and application of a server are not same as a normal computer. A server offers gather application sharing, Internet connectivity and data backup functionality. The hardware of the server is also distinct as it comes with enhanced hardware features. A server comprises multi-core processors, faster Ram, and some hard drives. For a small office environment, the server should contain two processors and some 6 hard drives.

For the individual users, regularly there is no requirement to use any server. But for businesses be it large or small, importance of a server is undeniable. The server comprises a central user directory where the username and passwords of all the employees are stored. Users can log into any computer on the network by using their username and password.

A server offers good and more gather file sharing. The central user directory of the server could be used to allow or deny way to files and folders. This is very useful as all the users don't need way to all the files. A server allows you to build an intranet and extranet.

Data is more precious than anything else. And in order to gather data most small businesses add a tape drive to the server. Due to a catastrophic failure, fire, or flood the server could be damaged. So to safe significant data, backup software runs on the server and it backs up the server's operating ideas and files to the tape. After completing backup, these tapes can be stored in a gather location.

So, from the discussion it is quite clear that how prominent role a server plays in today's data technology domain. If you are an developed computer user, and if you want to take your computing taste to an all new level, let's get your first server.

The unlikeness between Rack and Tower Servers

Every business needs some type of server, otherwise its computer network won't be very effective. Basically a server is just a computer. The only discrepancy is that it is built for a specialised purpose and the software that it runs is exiguous dissimilar from a run of the mill desktop computer. The software is slightly dissimilar because it is what is known as server software.

The type of server software that is run indubitably depends on what type of server you are wanting to run. If you were seeing to host a website then you would, more likely than not, want a Httpd set aside just for that. You can run multiple pieces of server software on a singular server, so that's never going to be a problem. But what type of server do you want? No doubt you've heard of tower servers and rack servers but you have no idea what the discrepancy is, so let's go over that in detail

Server

Tower server: This is the most basic type of server and it is also the cheapest. These servers look a lot like quarterly Pcs, and that is because any Pc can be a server so long as it meets the demands of the network. Typically a tower server won't have any of the extra features like an advanced graphics card, but it is made with its exact job in mind. Basically these are for those who think that they might need to upgrade in the future, even if the intuit for said upgrade is unclear. There are some tower servers which can be mounted within a 19 inch rack. Those who prefer this however would likely rather use a rack mount server.

Rack Serer: These sort of look like flat boxes and are almost an inch and a half in height. These servers are great for conserving space if you happen to need a lot of servers in a very small area. Though they are good for space, there is one major downside. That downside is that they are not indubitably expandable. They might have the capability, but you would have to find a place to add an extra hard drive. So why would one choose this type of server?

Basically they are for fellowships that know indubitably what they what their servers to do, they need room, and they're able to afford a set of rack mounted servers that will conform to their needs. This is indubitably a great example of a type of server on which man might want to run some data administration software.

These are the two basic servers that you will see in just about any business. The jury is still out as to which of these is better. Whether man would cut space in their office for more power, or Whether a man would rather have the sleek and contract outside of a rack mount server setup. It indubitably comes down to personal preference and what your business needs. Remember there is no wrong selection here, unless your budgets imply doesn't allow for rack mount servers.

Hosting Your Own Web Server - Things to reconsider

Are you disgusted or disappointed with your current web host? Have you switched web hosting companies too many times? Have you plan of hosting your own website(s)? Do you have the ambition to control and administrate your own web server?

If you answered 'yes' to the questions above, then you may be ready to host your own sites. This article will give you things to reconsider while making the switch.

Server

When being your own web host you should be technically inclined and have basic knowledge of operating systems, understand technical terms, understand how to setup a server environment (such as: Dns, Iis, Apache, etc.) have basic knowledge of scripting languages and databases (Php, Perl, MySql, etc.), be well-known with current technologies, and have a basic understanding of hardware and server components.

You should perceive the pros & cons. It is one thing to say, you want to host your own web server and it is someone else thing to literally do it.

Pros:

Own sense of accountability
Awareness level raised (you are at the frontline of all server happenings)
No monthly hosting fees/accounts
Incompetence no longer exist
Non-shared environment (dedicated server)
Unlimited websites, databases, content, storage, etc.
More bandwidth
No more waiting on man else time
Complete control

Cons:

Exhausting at times
Faced with server/hardware problems
Isp enterprise account (monthly business/broadband expense)
If server goes down then the website is offline
No technical reserve team
Software, hardware, and network expenses

There could be many more pros & cons but I've pointed out some of the major ones. Managing a web server starts as a full time job, you must constantly monitor its execution and security. This can sometimes be an exhausting task, especially if you currently have other responsibilities. Though, the control you will have over your website and its execution is rewarding enough. You no longer have to wait for technical reserve or approval to install a script onto the server. You can have as many websites and databases you want, as long as your hardware can handle it. You no longer have to go into the discussion forums and quest for the best web host or rant about how much you hate your current host. You can even begin hosting family & friends personal websites.

Ask yourself, how technically advanced are you? Many times you do not have to be a tech guru or whatever of the sort, but you must be very resourceful. You must know how to find resolutions and answers to problems, fast and efficiently. This means you must be internet savvy. Not just the median surfer, who surfs aimlessly, but you must be the surfer who can all the time find what they are seeing for. This is key, because with any server environment you are going to run into problems and seeing the answers are most done online, using multiple resources, quest techniques, and engines. Sure you can hire man to fix your problems, but as we should have learned from the "web hosting", having man do it for you isn't all the time the best option. Here is a test to see if you are ready to find solutions. I need a explication to a Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Event Error - "Event Id: 1056" it's a Dhcp Server Error. How would you search? Go ahead find the solution.

Did you first go to Google? If you did, that was a nice attempt and base for most, plus a good place to start, but commonly it is best to start at the developers' website. In this case "microsoft.com" would have been the first option. Why? Google would more than likely furnish you with the rejoinder from Microsoft and other sources, but you don't want to get inaccurate data from other sources. It is base to get data from Microsoft that would not specifically decree your problem, but the developer should all the time be your first place to quest for the answers. Now quest the error again and go to the Microsoft site and find the solution.

You should had found this (Event Id 1056 is Logged after installing Dhcp)

What quest phrase did you use? It should have been Event Id: 1056, because the Event Id is the exact error, it pinpoints your exact qoute without broadening your search. Sometimes the error article is also standard to search, just the error article by itself or in composition with the Event Id. It depends on your error, your quest feedback, your ability, and technique. For this example I did not consist of the error description.

Google or Yahoo! should have been your second option (the two largest quest engines). Then quest other smaller and niche quest engines. A good quest site which makes use of Google's operator tags is http://www.soople.com Next you should quest within forums and discussion groups. If you are pretty internet savvy and have a plentiful or few forums and discussion groups which you frequent then you might literally visit those places before visiting Google or Yahoo!. You can even visit those before visiting the developer site since it is a trusted source, but I wouldn't recommend it, I still would go to the developers' site first. Okay, so now we have planted our feet and have familiarized ourselves with being internet (search) savvy. We are ready to buy a server!

When making a server buy you need to reconsider a few things before doing so. What to buy? A top of the line, quadruple processor, and super fast turbo server is all the time ideal, but many times it is not logical or affordable. Therefore, you need to weigh your options (sensibly).

What to buy?

First decree your budget. Be realistic and expect to spend at least ,500 for a low-end server. For a low-end, potential server with other needed equipment and services I spent a wee over ,500 easily.

Determine your Isp (broadband) provider. Study and speak with any separate vendors before choosing which broadband explication best suit your needs. Each supplier plan is separate and has separate benefits, decree the best one which fits your needs. Bandwidth should be put into observation when selecting your Isp.

A backup gismo should be purchased before implementing a server install. The backup gismo should be duplicate the server storehouse space. This could be a standalone unit like an external hard drive or network storehouse gismo or the backup gismo could be multiple devices such as: backup tapes, disc, etc. The speculate the backup gismo should be larger is because you want to be able to have months worth of backups and not just weekly or monthly backups. You should have at least 24 weeks of backups without the concern of storehouse space. The backup gismo or safe deposits should also be external, removable, and portable. This is so the backups can be stored in a remote location. commonly for safe-keeping, in event of a theft or disaster.

Determine your daily traffic goal (the daily traffic which you hope to see within 1 year - be realistic), divide that amount by the daily traffic you currently receive, and then multiply that amount by 5. That is the total amount of Gb space you need.
Example:

Daily Traffic Goal: 10,000 (Divided by) Current Daily Traffic: 500 (Times X) 5 = 100Gb

In the example you should buy a 100Gb Hard Drive, it is best to buy 2 or more drives oppose to 1. In this case, since 50Gb drives do not exist or harder to find, you would buy two 60Gb drives giving you a total of 120Gb. 2 or more drives are commonly needed in a server to configure the allowable Raid option, in some cases 3 or more are needed. Your backup storehouse space should be a minimum capacity of 200Gb (or 240Gb, optional).

Determine your memory. If your web server daily traffic goal is 500,000 then I would recommend at least 2Gb worth of memory. If it is a shared server, meaning it also has other server services running on the machine, especially a mail server or database server (which is not recommended) then your memory should at least be 3Gb or more. Otherwise you can think small and upgrade as needed, a 1Gb memory stick should be fine for starters.

Determine your network components, which Nic card best performs under high traffic levels and which router best performs for your Lan / web server. It is best to get a router which has a built-in firewall (commonly known as a "hardware firewall"). Your Isp may furnish you with a router or hardware firewall, this is how they are able to authorize your traffic on their network. Like a cable box does for cable television. The router also shares your Ip address with other clients on your network. This enables you to share your internet connection without having to get a separate Ip from your Isp. The hardware firewall is simply a router with a built-in firewall, which means it shares your Ip address as well as provides added protection to your network. It blocks bad addresses and ports at the forefront, before it can even make it to your computer. It is not recommended to rely only on a hardware firewall for security, this is just the first step. It is recommended to also consist of a software firewall (firewall software which installs on your computer) and it is recommended to continue timely protection practices, such as updating and patching your system on a scheduled routine.

Determine your processor speed and power. Regardless of the amount of traffic you are expecting I would recommend a dual processor or greater. A dual processor or greater is best because if your website unexpectedly take off then you will be well prepared and if you host other server options or websites on the same server then you will have best performance. At the time of this writing the 64-bit platform is the processor direction. 3.8Ghz is the most ready speed. If your pockets can afford the most recent technologies then that is ideal, but keep in mind at this single time a 64-bit compatible processor is not necessary, without having many applications that want or deliver on that platform. That is a lot of speed going no where fast. Also, remember the power of the 64-bit platform and the greater the processor speed the more heat it produces, therefore it must be cooled much more rapidly and efficiently. At this time a dual 32-bit, 2.8Ghz - 3.2Ghz processor will suffice (even that is way more than enough). Though, if your pockets can afford it then the most recent and many would be fine, you will be well prepared. Otherwise, do like most citizen and upgrade when the time comes.

Make sure you have a Cd/Rw drive. A floppy disk drive is not needed, but I do recommend it for making system restore disk. The Cd/Rw drive is needed because you need some type of detachable storehouse device. You never know when you need to install a driver from a separate location...like a ethernet driver. An external Cd/Rw drive is the best option, especially if you have multiple machines.

Choose your operating system carefully. Choose the seller which you are most comfortable with. Do not Choose a Mac if you never used a Mac before. Just because your friend suggests it and says it is a piece of cake does not mean it will be for you. You are trying to get a web server online not re-learn a whole new system. Stay focused and grounded. If you are comfortable with Microsoft then go with Microsoft, regardless if the It man at your job says Microsoft products are unsecure, Linux or Unix is more fetch and much best for a web server. If you have never used Linux or (especially) Unix then you will be in for a ride of your life. Your web server caress will soon come to be a nightmare and you will have wasted thousands of dollars on equipment. Go with what you know, not what you are told. Each platform has its pros and cons: Microsoft is the user-friendly of them all; Mac is the web/graphic developer of them all; Linux is the open-source/developers paradise of them all; Unix is the most fetch of them all. Each of them can be tweaked in ways to furnish a solid, potential platform, it is best to stick with what you already know.

You should install on your system all the web services (such as: Apache, Iis, etc.), applications (such as: backup gismo software, Raid (Array) Manager), scripting languages (such as: Php, Perl, etc.), Cgi, Database (such as: MySql, Microsoft Sql, etc.), and a web log analyzer (such as: weblog expert, nihuo, etc.). It is also recommended to perform system updates, protection patches, and firewall installs and configurations. It is sometimes best to leave the protection installs and configurations for after you have the system functioning properly to avoid any uncalculated problems. This way when you install the firewall and something stops working properly like connecting to your website from face your network, you can troubleshoot assuming that it is the firewall, therefore you would begin by opening port 80 on the firewall. This method can save you a lot of hassle, but can sometimes be determined the unsecure method, especially if you don't have a hardware firewall already in place.

Next, there are a few things to reconsider before installing and configuring a server. Where to put it? A secluded, cool location is ideal, but if this cannot be done then adjustments can be made.

Where to put it?

Locate a location within your home that is static-free, we do not want to put the server on the carpet, near curtains, or whatever else that can produce a static reaction. The speculate for this is that you do not want the server internal components to receive a static payment and short circuit.

The location should be a cool environment, preferably below room temperature. The speculate for a cool area is because servers (as well as desktop computers) produce large amounts of heat, the more heat it produces the more it needs to cool off. If the server is not kept cool, then this can lead to the server hanging and then ultimately crashing. It's the same ensue of when a car overheats, it stops running. You can keep a server internal components cool by keeping the room cool, additionally you can add more fans to the server which cools the server internal components, you can also position a standalone fan directly at the server back panel and constantly have the fan cool the server internal components. Depending on how cool your room is and how much heat your server produces, getting more fans for your server may be a must and not an option.

It is suggested that the server is at a higher level within your house (mid-floor), because if it is in the basement and a flood occurs it could ruin it. If it is in the attic and the sun beams on the attic for hours the server could overheat. Mid-floor level is commonly the cooler place within the home, but these recommendations is elective and you should put the server in the most comfortable and suitable space following the rest of the guidelines.

Be sure the area you Choose is not damp or wet (no leaks, moisture, near any liquids, or near a window "especially open"). We all know what can happen when electrical components get wet.

The server should sit at least 4" inches from the ground

Be sure a working electrical outlet is near. It is an leading to have a power supply, a good brand is Apc. Having a power furnish can save you from electrical outages, blackouts, and brownouts. Having a power furnish helps the server keep its power, remain stable, and unaffected when there is an outage, as well it protects your server against electrical shock. If your outage remains more than 5 minutes it is recommended to begin backing up whatever deemed leading and shut the computer down voluntarily as well as any other electrical attached devices.

Have a Lan line near and also a phone jack (if you plan on using the server for any dial-up services). It is not recommended to use your web service with a dial-up connection. A broadband connection or greater is recommend for optimal performance. The Lan line should never come from your wall and plug directly into your server, it should plug into a hardware firewall (usually a router with a built-in firewall).

Depending on the size of the server and the internal components the server may be very noisy and loud, especially with the fans going. It is suggested to have the server in a secluded location which is not near any peaceful area of the house, such as: bedroom.

Those are all some basic things to reconsider before hosting your own server. Hosting your own server is not an easy task, but once you have had some time and caress with it, it becomes a breeze. You will have a best web hosting experience, you will be more in tune and reliant to your customers, and you will gain greater technical aptitude. Hosting your own web server is rewarding, useful, and gives you the opening to host unlimited websites, databases, services, etc.

If your web traffic becomes too great for your server then it is recommended to Choose an offsite web host. It is recommend to buy a dedicated server with a potential web host. If you Choose a server with the above recommendations then your server traffic should be fine for at least up to 25,000,000 page views per month. It could be greater or less depending on your operating system, your server configuration, performance, applications, and services. The point is you should be well in a position to buy dedicated server space by the time your traffic gets too high, because if you are getting whatever close to 1,000,000 page views a month you should have some competing advertising or ecommerce income. And plus, with the knowledge you will gain from the caress you will be able to reserve your own server at a dedicated server (remote) location, thus cutting more overhead.

The biggest disadvantage of hosting your own web server is the uptime reliability. If your web server powers down for any speculate then your website is offline. commonly web hosting companies have methods and networks to forestall this failure from affecting your website. commonly if the system goes down they have a mirror location where your site is rejuvenated and doesn't caress much downtime. Some web hosts do not practice this method or any other fault tolerance. Fantasize if a blackout or power outage occurs, then your web server could be down for hours or even days, this can work on your enterprise greatly. There are some hosting companies who furnish mirror web hosting for a small fee, I haven't found one that is reliable yet. Or you could cross your fingers and hope for the best, until you are able to host your server face your home on a larger network.

Hosting your own server commonly is not a money-saving experience. It sometimes cost more to host your own server, when you total the up keep and maintenance. The benefit of hosting your own server is commonly a best platform for your customers, because it is no longer a shared server and it gives you the potential to make global changes almost instantaneously. When your customers ask more execution or exact applications, then you will be able to implement this immediately. Customers like to know that you are in control. If you tell your customers that the server will be down for maintenance from 6 a.m. - 7 a.m. Then it would be best if that is when your server is down, not from 5 a.m. - 10 a.m. You know how your web host will tell you one thing and then you have to try explaining it to your customer. In the end it will benefit you to host your own web server as a web business, this helps you and your customers.

The significance of E & O guarnatee For Process Servers

We live in a community which has become litigious while, at the same time, increasingly involved with privacy rights.

This can be particularly difficult for litigators because not all the facts of a case may be accessible. This leads to the possibility of an error or omission occurrence.

Server

Repercussions due to an error can be extremely costly. This is why a reputable process server will carry errors and omissions insurance. This E&O assurance is also protection for their clients.

It is realistic to expect that sometimes inopportune circumstances occur despite the best risk supervision strategies. For example, a traffic tie-up or accident may preclude a server from perfecting a rush aid on a Defendant by a court ordered deadline. The server's errors and omissions policy will cover any legal activity initiated in relation to such occurrences.

As with any pro or business, a a man who serves process is susceptible to frivolous claims that can implicate their clients as well. Errors and omissions assurance will cover defense of such a claim.

The typical number of assurance carried is ,000,000 per occurrence. Errors and omissions assurance is especially tailored to take into account the possible liability situations particular to the profession.

Errors and omissions assurance also provides the extra reassurance that the process server is legitimate. Having assurance coverage demonstrates that the personel is organized, responsible and willing to rectify an unfortunate incident.

A pro with errors and omissions coverage is protective of their respectable company name and willing to stand behind their reputation.

This assurance coverage also proves a commitment to their clients. It illustrates a policy of providing the best services possible. It also differentiates credible process servers from "fly by night" operators.

In the unlikely event an inevitable error or omission occurs, you can have reliance that your pro server's assurance coverage will safeguard you.

Facebook's new energy efficient data center

Facebook's new energy efficient data center Tube. Duration : 15.18 Mins.

Cloud technologies power some of Internet's most well-known sites—Picasa, Gmail, Facebook and Zynga, just to name a few—and cloud companies are striving to make the computer processing behind these sites as energy efficient as possible. With that in mind, Facebook, Dell, HP, Rackspace, Skype, Zynga and others have teamed together to form the Open Compute Project to share best practices for making more energy efficient and economical data centers. To kick-start the project, Facebook unveiled its innovative new data center and contributed the specifications and designs to Open Compute. "Cloud companies are working hard to become more and more energy efficient...[and] this is a big step forward today in having computing be more and more green," explains Graham Weston, Chairman of Rackspace. A small team of Facebook engineers has been working on the project for two years. They custom designed the software, servers and data center from the ground up. One of the most significant features of the facility was that Facebook eliminated the centralized UPS system found in most data centers. "In a typical data center, you're taking utility voltage, you're transforming it, you're bringing it into the data center and you're distributing it to your servers," explains Tom Furlong, Director of Site Operations at Facebook. "There are some intermediary steps there with a UPS system and with energy transformations that occur that cost you money and energy—between about 11% and 17%. In our ...

How To generate An Image Using Symantec Ghost, Ghostcast Server?

If you want to generate an image of your hard disk it can be done in some ways. A way to do this is to boot the computer from a Symantec Ghost floppy disk and to generate the image by multicasting, unicasting, disk to disk or peer to peer.

So if you want to generate an image the first thing you have to do is to generate a Symantec Ghost boot disk. This boot disk doesn't boot to Windows but boots the Symantec Ghost utility in Dos.

Server

How to generate an image using GhostCast server?

GhostCast server is a utility of the Symantec Ghost software. Using GhostCast server you can generate images of computers in the network or you can restore an image to some linked clients at the same time. The only thing you have to do is to boot all the clients with a Symantec Ghost boot disk, then you accept all the linked clients in the GhostCast server utility and then you naturally send the image to all linked clients.

First you have to make sure that the computer of which you want to generate an image of, is linked to the network. Of procedure the GhostCast server computer has to be linked as well.

Boot the client from the Symantec Ghost boot disk.

Now return to your GhostCast server computer and start the GhostCast server utility by clicking Start -> Programs -> Symantec Ghost -> GhostCast server.

Here you have to enter a session name in the Session Name box.

Then you enable the 'Create Image' option to generate an image from the clients.

Then you click the 'Browse' button to browse for a place where the image must be stored.

If you want to generate an image of the whole hard disk of the client you adopt the 'Disk' option. Do you want to generate an image of a singular partition you adopt the 'Partition' option. (In this example I divulge how to generate an image of a disk).

Then you click the 'Accept Clients' button.

Now GhostCast server waits for the clients to connect.

You can see that there are no clients linked until now.

Now you go to the client which is booted in Symantec Ghost and you click (or by keyboard) 'GhostCast' -> 'Unicast'.

You enter the session name exactly the same as given in GhostCast Server.

Leave the option 'Discovery Method' to 'Automatic' and click 'Ok'.

The next thing you do is, you adopt the drive of which an image must be made of.
and click 'Ok'.

Here you can pick if the image must be compressed to safe disk space. The options are 'No', 'Fast' or 'High' compression.

I advise you pick 'Fast' compression.

The next thing you need to do is to confirm the image creation by clicking 'Yes'.

Now Symantec Ghost is waiting for you to click the 'Send' button in GhostCast Server.

So, return to the GhostCast Server computer and click the 'Send' button.

After you clicked 'Send' the image will be created and stored at the location you chose in GhostCast Server.

You can see the details in GhostCast Server.

After the GhostCast enlarge is 100 % your image is created and you can close GhostCast Server.

You have flourishing created your Ghost image using GhostCast Server!!

To Sip Or to Skype - Where is the Server?

When using Sip to make your free calls, many providers will make it well easy for you... Until you want to reach a user of another victualer or network, which might prove to be not that simple, and not free either. Calling Sip users of other providers or networks will also want some studying from your part. You can, indeed, reach millions of users, but they are on distinct networks and finding them is not as transparent as consulting a particular directory.

Another divergence that surfaces when using Sip is that you might be required to feed determined facts into your program, such as servers and ports. You will also end up getting involved with a few other technical details here and there. It is well worth it and it will commonly grant you passage to more free services than using plain free Skype. It comes at a cost, though: you must secure up some minimum expertise in order to make things work.

Server

As a free Skype user, you are commonly restrained to Skype's network at the moment of placing free calls, but you get a program that most of the time works out of the box. You don't need to configure anything, and you don't even know where the Skype server is.

There are well several Skype servers. A main server holds all the accounts (that is why it takes a little long to sign on, since users are authenticated from one particular central location), and you have many distinct servers that allow you to place calls. another copy of the Skype program in use by any of the millions of citizen around the world will know about Skype servers in the vecinity, and it will let your computer know the location of the nearest Skype server on the internet. Skype will, more often than not, find all primary servers in a way that will be wholly transparent to the user. In that regard, the divergence in the middle of using Skype and Sip is pretty much like using Shareaza or Ftp (file exchange protocol) when you send and receive files. Anyone who has used an Ftp program knows that there is exact facts about the server (such as address and ports) in order to be able to upload or download files.

That divergence is no coincidence at all, since the authors of Skype and Shareaza are the same citizen and, in both cases, you don't need to know which server you are using, neither do you need to feed the program with technical facts in order to get associated (with a few exceptions).

One day we will inspect a fusion of both approaches: the business accepted and openness of Sip plus the peer-to-peer advantage of Skype (that allows you to use it without knowing where the server is) plus its quality to get straight through firewalls. We will also be able to find everybody as if they were clients of the same network or provider, no matter what kind of service, technology or victualer that person will be using. By now, what we can do is to use Sip, Skype -or maybe a little bit of both- to make our free calls, economize on our local telephone service, and save big on long length calls.
